Tabitha Soren's "Under Your Skin" looks at women who are comfortable in their own skin. This project is a response to the frantic mental states women can experience when it comes to their appearances, especially as they age. No longer are our bodies and faces considered simply our genetic inheritance, but we are now projects to improve, design and update. The varied natural shapes in the landscape provide a model of how we can perceive ourselves; a calm acceptance of the presence of diverse forms. This series imagines a world where more women feel this way when they look in the mirror.A newcomer, never seeing her work before and YES for me!
