Rest in Peace great photographer Herman Leonard . I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing him during the Lucie Awards which he was an award recipient in 2008. We remained in touch.What a great and engaging  person he truly was. He will be missed!

In lieu of flowers, Herman's family has asked that donations be made to The New Orleans Musicians Clinic, an organization close to his heart. 

There will be a memorial piece on Herman on ABC's World News Sunday at 6:30pm this evening.
