Very happy of being part of this show. Come to the opening!

Each day the street opens up the possibility to be both vulnerable and unprotected. And each day we put ourselves again in this position in order to work, eat, and play. Through photography, painting and sculpture, STREET portrays both the seen and the unseen; those who are empowered to embrace their strength and those still searching for a way to be free of harassment and abuse.

Art In FLUX is a movement of Harlem artists appearing in Pop-Up art galleries.

FLUX highlights and creates opportunity for artists living and/or working in Harlem; brings art into the center of the community where people walk to work and school, shop and dine; creates a positive use for vacant retail locations; and stimulates a vibrant neighborhood merging art, commerce and community.

for Harlem
FLUX provides an opportunity for artists living and working in the community to show their work publicly and meet collectors.  Artists presented at Art In FLUX Harlem are recruited for their ingenuity, edge, and aptitude.
FLUX partners with local nonprofit organizations serving the Harlem community to raise money and awareness for their cause.

FLUX brings art into the center of the neighborhood, creates awareness of the arts, inspires discussion, and contributes to the vitality of the neighborhood.
FLUX brings art into areas of commerce where residents walk, shop, and meet their neighbors.  By utilizing vacant retail spaces, FLUX stimulates interest, development and growth in the community.

about Harlem
FLUX intends to reveal or uncover the abundance of talented emerging artists living and working in the beautiful streets of Harlem.

LittleCollector + Mickalene Thomas + MoMA = LOVE
In a special project just for kids in collaboration with LittleCollector and the MoMA, we are very excited to announce that artist MickaleneThomas has created a brand new work for young art lovers entitled Portrait de Priscilla Petit Chien. Says Thomas, "When I was invited to participate in the LittleCollector project, I started thinking about what kids would be interested in and what they would like to collect. I have a miniature dachshund named Priscilla and thought that maybe she could help me come up with a good image. She has already seen many photo shoots at my studio with human models, and she ended up acting like a real professional who loves the camera!"
What is Priscilla's take on her time in front of the camera? Read our exclusive interviewwith Mickalene and Priscilla on our blog
This limited edition archival print is available ONLY through the MoMA Design Store. All prints are framed in white wood and measure 14x16."
