Spencer Tunick @ The Dead Sea
EIN GEDI.- A group of naked men take directions from US artist Spencer Tunick (off camera to left) and look left towards the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea, as some women take showers to remove the greasy water of the Dead Sea when some 1,000 people stripped down and took to the Dead Sea, at Mineral Beach, north of Ein Gedi, on 17 September 2011. Tunick creates environmental, mass-nude art installations and photographs them in order to show the human relationship with the environment The Naked Sea project is supposed to raise awareness to the plight of the Dead Sea, with its mineral-rich water levels drastically lowering.

Dear Friends, please join us on Monday, September 12th, from 830-10pm at Greenwich House Music School as we host our first exhibition of the Fall season. For this evening's reception, we are thrilled to feature the curatorial projection, A Decade of Photography in the Aftermath of 9/11, by our artist Ruben Natal-San Miguel. His selections represent a 10-year look at the effects on contemporary photography and photographers in the aftermath of the catastrophic events of 9/11. The images will be projected on a high definition screen, generously provided by Adorama, in the patio garden of the Greenwich House Music School, with an accompaniment by pianist Taka Kigawa. This one-night only projection will begin at 8:30PM, followed by a reception.
The Autumn Exhibition, on view from Sept. 12 - Oct. 14, 2011, in the Renee Weiler Concert Hall at the Greenwich House Music School, is a group exhibition featuring Robert Otto Epstein, Dolly Faibyshev, Robert Forman, Rachelle Mozman, Ruben Natal-San Miguel, Diane Russo, Brian Shumway, Robin Schwartz and Raymond Adams. Originally designed as an informal, salon-style preview of artworks by a variety of talented artists, we are excited to be able to expand the exhibition thanks to the historical Greenwich House Music School.
Since our founding earlier this year, we have been excited to exhibit and work with a variety of emerging artists and more established ones. In the celebration of the Fall art season, we are thrilled to be debuting new works and re-introducing previously unseen works to our patrons and supporters, like you, and to a new and wider audience. We hope you will join us at the opening reception, Monday, Sept. 12, from 830-10pm in the Renee Weiler Concert Hall at the Greenwich House Music School for this event.
As space is somewhat limited, please RSVP to contact@finchandada.com.
If you are unable to make it on the night of the opening, the exhibition will be open by appointment only through the end date of October 14. Please email elizabeth@finchandada.com to make an appointment.
