Tomorrow September 29, 2008
Join master photographer Joel Meyerowitz for a talk on his work documenting the hidden pockets of nature that still exist within the urban environs of the city for the publication of Legacy: The Preservation of Wilderness in New York City Parks. This compelling body of work is the result of a unique commission Meyerowitz received from the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation to document, interpret, and celebrate the least developed areas within one of the city’s greatest legacies: the twenty-nine thousand acres of parks in the five boroughs. An exhibition of this series will be on view at the Museum of the City of New York, October 9, 2009 though March 7, 2010.
Legacy is now available through Aperture!

Be nice, be proactive, be positive and yes you can be a bit naughty. Negativity, tackiness and insecurity will get you nowhere in the ART World!
