GREEN ENERGY: Bearing witness to the heart-breaking abuse of land in the Kentucky coal mines, I couldn’t help but think that we are all active participants in this operation. Every time we turn on our computers, TVs, and toasters, we are actively placing an order for energy; 50% of which comes from Coal in the US today. We are all addicted to and enmeshed with every bit of this toxicity. To move away from this source of energy into cleaner sources, although welcomed, will be painful and difficult for all of us. The scope of “Green Energy” is to juxtapose various sources of energy starting with Coal (a fossil fuel representing our current, crashing era) then exploring Geothermal Energy (in the Utah desert) and Solar Energy (in the Negev desert, Israel). And, in the very near future, moving onto wind, solar, and nuclear. Change is undoubtedly painful. I can’t help but relay an analogy that an ex-smoker can relate to: Sometimes it hurts to breathe clean air. Quitting after years of smoking, your lungs detoxify and allow space for clean air, but it hurts to take a deep breath, although it’s healthy. We are clearly living and witnessing a remarkable time: A painful end of an out-sized, out-consumed, out-spent era, and the beginning of a new era. We are in the midst of a collective evolution, both tragic and beautiful. It is with an optimistic overture that I delve into the front lines of the Green Revolution, because to put it simply: Seeing is believing. In the era of “Yes We Can”, we already are. We are on the cusp of greatness.
Love the images and reflections portrayed here . A very important subject topic .A YES!

Be nice, be proactive, be positive and yes you can be a bit naughty. Negativity, tackiness and insecurity will get you nowhere in the ART World!
