See you there!

After Color
An exhibition of photographs curated by amani olu

WHAT
After Color examines how artists employ conceptual black and white photography to strengthen their ideas and how such usage comments on the dominance of large-scale, color photography as seen in the contemporary art world over the last 25 years. The exhibition will take place at Chelsea gallery, Bose Pacia and is curated by Amani Olu.

Artists in the exhibition include Michael Bühler-Rose, Talia Chetrit, Matthew Gamber, Stephen Gill, Adrien Missika, Pushpamala N, Noel Rodo-Vankeulen, Arthur Ou, and Michael Vahrenwald. Each artist creates work using black and white photography that ranges in subject matter from abstraction, portraiture, & landscape and challenges the current conventions of contemporary photography.

The curator, Amani Olu is a private dealer, independent curator and the founder and executive director of Humble Arts Foundation. He recently produced and designed The Collector's Guide to Emerging Art Photography, published by Humble Arts Foundation. He is currently organizing Young Curators, New Ideas II, a curatorial focused group exhibition that opens in August at P.P.O.W.

Be nice, be proactive, be positive and yes you can be a bit naughty. Negativity, tackiness and insecurity will get you nowhere in the ART World!
